Educational Goals and Curriculum Design
Requirement of graduation is 30 credits, which includes 12 required and 18 elective credits, and graduate will be required to complete master’s thesis before graduation. And monthly seminars are held for in-depth discussion of issues in Early Childhood Education.
1. Educational goals
The educational objective of our Institute is to develop early childhood education teachers, professionals and leaders who are mastering both of early childhood education and management competence.
2. The curriculum structure is as follows:
The courses of Master Degree Program are divided into four areas:
(1) Child Development and Curriculum, Instruction:
Child development and early childhood education theories provide the foundation for intelligent policy, administration and management decision-making.
(2) Research methods, Advanced Statistics, and Qualitative Research:
Courses of Research methods and Advanced Statistics build our students with solid foundation in academic research work.
(3) Early childhood education policy, administration, and management:
Theories in education/childcare and management and discussion of current issues and trends in early childhood education cultivate the systemic and dynamic thinking in our students.
(4) Philosophy and Professional Development in ECE:
Topics in Philosophy and Professional Development in ECE increase the sensitivity of practical problems and research trends in our students.
